Best Massage Therapist of Oregon City in 2018

Rachel (then Sheard, now Climer) was voted the Best Massage Therapist of Oregon City.

A Little History…

While attending Cambridge College in Beaverton from July 2005 through June 2006, Rachel had no plans or expectations of becoming self employed or owning a business, however, as she took each next step, that’s the path that unfolded. The young 20-something moved to Oregon City in 2007 with her family and began—accidentally–building her private practice, learning each step as she went along (she went to massage school, not business school!).

Naming a massage-based business was tricky for Rachel. Too many existing massage business names sounded either too cheesy, could be misconstrued in what was being offered, or could create a future limitation of location and/or services. Rachel was called to find something different, something that would filter out the creeps–not be a magnet for them (Respect Massage—Zero Tolerance), and would allow space for other holistic services to be added in the future. Finally, Rachel’s private practice found its own name in September 2014: Ricochet Body Solutions, growing from her initials at the time (Rachel’s last name changed from Sheard to Climer in 2021). This business name has represented different ideas and concepts over the years, and Rachel has considered changing it too a few times. And somehow, that seems to be the truest representation of the name: To embody an ever-changing life, adjusting to different demands as life progresses.

Rachel continuously studies the mind-body connection, stress, mental health, the brain, consciousness, aging/dying topics, and their relationship with our bodies (and those of our companion animals. Yes, training in canine massage will be added to this list someday too!), gathering a collection of holistic methods that build and reinforce your physical, energetic, mental, and emotional strengths. May you face the changes that come along with living in your body, in this ever-changing world, not alone, but with support.

This is a place where you are invited and welcome to be yourself.

Bring your open mind, take this next step in your healing and living journey, rest for a moment, breathe, ground, be restored, BE YOU.

Rachel hopes to meet you, to help you feel better in your body and in your mind, from where you are now all the way through to your last breaths.
