Living & Dying Services
It’s normal to believe there will always be more time, we’ll always have another chance, there’s no rush, we can do it later–from the simple “it”s to the bigger, more meaningful “it”s in our lives.
I get it. A lot of people aren’t comfortable thinking or talking about dying or death. Please consider this an invitation to explore your beliefs, fears, or any other feelings you have toward dying and death in a safe, open-minded, non-judgmental place.
The truth is, none of us are guaranteed one more tomorrow, dying is 100% guaranteed for each of us, and, unfortunately, most of us know people in our social spheres who have died much too young and unexpectedly. The reality is, we can’t predict when our time comes or outrun it.
Working together now ensures you live your highest quality of life all the way through. Don’t put off until the end of your life what you could be working on, healing, preparing, finishing, or resolving now, so that your last days–hopefully far out in the future–can be experienced fully connected with your loved ones, not frantically tying up a lifetime of loose ends.
Seasons of Life Mentoring
Today, you’re healthy.
Today, you’re capable.
Today, you’re able to choose how you spend your time and to whom you give your attention, energy, and love.
Seasons of Life Mentoring sessions combine the wisdom gleaned from studying the experiences of those nearing the end of their life and the patterns of all life–preparation, emergence, growth, reproduction, harvest, letting go, death, decay, rest–to embrace finite opportunities to live a more fulfilling life with intention right now, in the present moment.
This combination can be used to assist you through different challenges that arise in many facets of life: linear aging, cyclical parent/child dynamics, career, relationship, etc.
Invest in the present moment, so that if a tragic event or health crisis brings an unexpected end to your capabilities or your life entirely, you’ll be able to rest more easily knowing that you lived your life well.
Available as an Add-On to many other services and as focused sessions here.
By working together, you can:
- create toolboxes for various seasons of your life that you can use to live a more fulfilling life NOW
- identify your values
- make changes in your life to live in accordance with your values
- release barriers that stand in your way
- learn to direct your life not just watch it from the sidelines
- create the memories you want to share with others
Death Education/Mortality Mentor
Mortality Mentoring brings attention to what you’d like the end of your life to look like. If you’ve had children, you may recall creating a birth plan before your baby was born. A death plan offers a similar sense of control and ease and is a useful map to guide those who are supporting us through this transition.
Taking the time while we’re healthy to make these decisions for ourselves is a tremendous gift to our loved ones, as it releases much of the burden of decision-making for them while they’re in the midst of processing anticipatory grief, trauma, and/or grief at the same time.

End of Life Doula/Death Doula
An End of Life Doula, or Death Doula, is a non-medical holistic support person for a dying person and their loved ones.
An end of life doula brings another set of trained eyes, ears, and intuition to the bedside and may catch subtle cues or messages that other providers or caregivers might not be able to decipher.
While hospice is able to begin when a person is expected to have 6mo or less left of their life, working with an end of life doula can begin far in advance of an anticipated death. An end of life doula can offer additional support for both the person dying and for their care and support members–spouse, children, parents, other family and friends.

“Any time you are with anyone or think of anyone you must say to yourself: I am dying and this person too is dying, attempting the while to experience the truth of the words you are saying. If every one of you agrees to practice this, bitterness will die out, harmony will arise.”
― Anthony de Mello
